I’ve been teaching flute since many years, even before graduating; from the very first moment I had clear in my mind what my path into music was; even today, I find the fullness and the sense of my work, in the eyes of the pupils who try the first sounds with the traverso, or in the students who work out technical difficulties or important musical pieces.
I studied with several teachers, and I graduated with distinction with M° Ruscitti who, together with M° Masini, also trained me as a teacher.I specialized then my technique with A. Jonet and W. Bennet.
I attended several competitions and auditions, winning a job in Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, and getting to the final round in the Youth European Orchestra.
From 1979 to 1981 I played with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra, and from 1981 to 1990 I played as 1st flute (also collaborating as a soloist) with Haydn Orchestra in Bolzano.
I did several recordings of chamber music.
Since 1986 I’ve been teaching in the Conservatories of Bolzano, Como, Lecce, Piacenza and currently Parma, leading many students to graduation; several students have prestigious job positions among orchestras across Europe, in particular Chiara Tonelli from Bolzano and Mattia Petrilli from Como.
In Piacenza I’ve been chief of the Department of wind instruments for thirteen years, and also representing the teachers for six years, and managing the pre-academic courses for six year, and for two years also a member of the Academic Board.
I’ve been teaching in masterclasses since 1986, and collaborating since 2002 with Janos Balint, improving my didactic competences, in particular for what concerns articulations for emission of the sound.
Some personal evolution paths gave me new skills to sustain my students also from the emotional and focus side.
