ADMISSIONS A.Y. 2024/2025

The Parma Conservatory of Music “Arrigo Boito” offers, for the academic year 2024/2025, over 150 study programs, covering a wide range of disciplines – musical instruments, singing, composition, orchestra conducting, and theoretical disciplines – across the classical (from early music to contemporary music), jazz, and pop-rock fields.

1.

APPLICATION PROCESS A.Y. 2024/2025

All applications must be submitted exclusively online

from April 1 to April 30

by registering or logging into the following platform:

 Esse 3 - Cineca 

Please note: before starting the application process on the Esse 3 Cineca platform, candidates must pay a fee of € 6,04. This must be paid by postal order (bollettino postale) to either c/c n. 1016 or c/c with IBAN IT45 R 0760103200 000000001016 in the name of: "Agenzia delle Entrate – Centro operativo di Pescara", with the following reason for payment: "Tassa di Ammissione 24/25".

The application also requires candidates to pay an admission fee, which must be paid through the PagoPA platform. The form (bollettino) can be downloaded at the end of the application process, or from the “Pagamenti” section (click on “Menù” in the upper right-hand corner → “Segreteria” → “Pagamenti”).

 

2.

ADMISSION EXAMS A.Y. 2024/2025

In order to be admitted to the Conservatory, candidates must pass the admission exam. At the end of the examination process, an admission ranking list (graduatoria di ammissione) of the successful candidates will be drawn up.

Please note that passing the admission exam does not automatically entail admission to the Conservatory. Actual admission will be determined by the admission ranking list and the number of available places for each program.

 

ADMISSION EXAMS CALENDAR
(SCHEDULE TBA)

 

In order to be admitted to their study program of choice, candidates must pass the following tests:

 

LEVEL I (TRIENNIO) AND LEVEL II (BIENNIO)
(excluding singing - canto lirico and piano coaching - maestro collaboratore)

  1. May 7 - 18 → Practical exam
  2. May 20 - 21 → Italian language test (1° call for foreign students)
  3. September 12 - 14 → Italian language test (2° call for foreign students)
    Please note: this is an in-person test. The first part of the test is a written test which can only be taken by candidates who successfully passed the practical exam. The second part is an oral test which can only be taken by candidates who successfully passed the written test. The candidate may take the first call or the second call, but not both.
  4. September, TBA → Fundamental subjects exam (Level I (Triennio) programs; Level II (Biennio) programs)

 

SINGING (CANTO LIRICO) AND PIANO COACHING (MAESTRO COLLABORATORE)

  1. Pre-selection: all candidates must send two videos by 30 April
  2. September 2 - 7 → Practical exam (for candidates who successfully passed the pre-selection stage)
  3. September 9 → Practical exam (for candidates who successfully passed the pre-selection stage)
  4. September 12 - 14 → Italian language test (for foreign students)
    Please note: this is an in-person test. The first part of the test is a written test which can only be taken by candidates who successfully passed the practical exam. The second part is an oral test which can only be taken by candidates who successfully passed the written test.
  5. September, TBA → Fundamental subjects exam (Level I (Triennio) programsLevel II (Biennio) programs)

ENROLLMENT A.Y. 2024/2025

All students admitted to all programs (excluding singing – canto lirico and piano coaching – maestro collaboratore) will be able to enroll from June 17 to June 30.

All students admitted to the singing – canto lirico and piano coaching – maestro collaboratore programs will be able to enroll at a later (TBA) date.
