Nicola Lamon

Curriculum:

Nicola Lamon studied composition and organ with Elsa Bolzonello Zoja, Harpsichord with Sergio Vartolo and Marco Vincenzi at “Conservatorio B. Marcello in Venice, graduating “cum laude” in 2001. He also studied Gregorian chant with Lanfranco Menga obtaining a with honor diploma. He was awarded in several national and international organ and harpsichord music competitions. He research with particular interest Gregorian chant, organ, liturgy, and improvisation, focused mainly to the basso continuo praxis. He has an intense concert activity as organist and harpsichordist collaborating with many ensembles. He founded, togheter with the colleague David Brutti the duo “Seicento Stravagante” specialized in Renaissance and early baroque music for cornet and historical keyboards. He’s recording the monumental Well-Tempered Clavier and the art of the fugue of J.S. Bach on its own Silbermann harpsichord. He teaches Basso Continuo at the Parma Conservatory
