ILARIO NICOTRA, born into a family in which love for music and singing is a tradition, studied voice and composition, and he graduated in piano with honors under Antonio Beltrami and Bruno Canino at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan. He distinguished himself in various piano competitions. A versatile musician plays as a soloist, chamber musician, and a very young age as a trainer of international opera singers such as: Adriana Lazzarini, Ernesto Palacio, Lucia Aliberti, Maria Dragoni, Ines Salazar, Wladimiro Ganzarolli and many others. From 1995 to 1998 he collaborated with M° Luciano Marconi managers to the implementation of the review of afternoon concerts presented by Prof. Quirino Principe and hosted at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan, Titled Concerts living room, accompanying young singers in opera arias, lieder and chamber music. He prepared young singers for auditions with artists such as Luciana Serra, Renata Scotto and with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly and Sir Colin Davis.

He teaches at the Civic School of Milan and was the founder and director of the choir of the University of Milano-Bicocca from 2002 to 2012. Since the academic year 2011/12 he teaches at the Conservatory of Music "Domenico Cimarosa" Avellino, “G.B.Martini” of Bologna, “Arrigo Boito” of Parma.

In July 2014, 2017 and 2019, he was invited as a recruiter of young musicians and singers in China, visiting universities and conservatories in Beijing, Wuhan, Shenyang, Chengdu, Changsha, Shijiazhuang, Harbin.

Already invited to Japan, in January 2017 it was for the first time in Seoul, Korea.
