Marcello Mazzoni graduated from the Conservatorio C. Monteverdi in Bolzano and continued his studies at the prestigious Accademia di Imola with distinguished professors and concertists (L. Berman, A. Lonquich, F. Scala, J. Achucarro, L. Lortie, P. Rattalino etc.). He has performed as a soloist and as a soloist with orchestra in important halls, seasons and festivals such as: Musikverein in Vienna, Philharmonia in Perm (Russia), St. Petersburg Conservatory Hall, Philharmonia in Braşov, Gasteig Carl Orff Saal in Munich, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Theatre der Jugend Munchen, Ehrbar Saal Wien, Bartok Hall Budapest, Mozarteum Orchester Saal Salzburg, Singapore Music Hall, Hong Kong City Hall, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Aula Magna of the Università Sapienza in Rome (IUC), Auditorium Paganini in Parma, Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, Teatro Comunale in Modena... He collaborates with renowned instrumentalists, in particular I. Grubert, A. Niculescu, U. Ughi, B. Huang, F. Manara, F. M. Fischer, S. Korkeala, K. Weigel, A. Martini, M. Fornaciari, A. Griminelli, O. Semchuck, E. Lawson and others. He habitually plays as a soloist with important ensembles such as Ensemble Berlin - Berliner Philahrmoniker, Camerata RCO Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Wiener Konzertverein, Savaria National Symphonic Orchestra, Salzburg Orchester Solisten, Orchestra Filarmónica Marchigiana, Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, I Virtuosi Italiani,
Solisti Filarmonici Italiani under the direction of well-known conductors such as C. Mandeal, B. O. Wiede, M. Brusseau, D. Soga, G. Šlekytė, D. Chobanov, H. Sensoy, M. Caldi, A. Sisillo etc. He has a significant discography to his credit: he has recorded for Decca, Limen Music, Bam for a total of 12 publications. It is worth mentioning the recent monographic tournées (2019-2914) in which the pianist performed the complete concertos by J.S. Bach, those by Liszt (1st, 2nd Totentanz), those by Chopin (1st and 2nd) and the great works of the Russian
repertoire (Tschaikowsky and Rachmaninoff). Marcello Mazzoni is a tenured professor of principal piano at the Conservatory "A. Boito" in Parma and at the Conservatory "A. Peri" in Reggio Emilia. He has been a member of the C.D.I. of the Teatro Valli since 2011, is the artistic director of the season "Incontro alla Musica" held at the Auditorium Cavallerizza in Reggio Emilia and is also the organiser and creator of the "Festival dei Pianisti Italiani" held in the same city at the Chiostri di San Pietro, which has consistently recorded extraordinary success. Since September 2013, he has joined the renowned Steinway family of artists alongside such legends as V. Horowitz, M. Argerich and M.
