He is the cellist of the “Trio di Parma”, and has made a name for himself in international competitions in Florence, Melbourne and Munich, and has received the “Premio Abbiati” from Italian music critics. First cello in the “Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala” for two consecutive years. He has won many competitions among them a First Prize at the “Paulo Cello Competition” in Helsinki. Following this success, he was invited as a soloist by the leading festivals and orchestras of Northern Europe. He also has a busy teaching schedule for numerous Italian and Finnish institutions, in collaboration also with the “Trio di Trieste” and M. Jones. Since October 2007 he is a Professor in cello at Mozarteum in Salzburg. Since November 2007 he has been elected as the new Artistic Director of the “Estate Musicale a Portogruaro”. He plays a 1775 Vincenzo Panormo cello.
