Raffaele D’Aniello graduated in piano at the Conservatory “O. Respighi” in Latina with the highest marks plus distinction under the guide of M° E. Capurso, then he specialised in modern and contemporary music at Accademia Musicale Pescarese. Afterwards he graduated in composition at Conservatory of “S. Cecilia” in Rome under the guide of M° Massimo Gianfreda and he graduated in Philosophy and Letters at university of Parma with honors.
He studied with M° Hans Graf in Wien and then with Aldo Ciccolini, Boris Petruschanskij, Lya De Barberiis and Franco Scala.
For many years he had important concert-activities both as solo and accompanying famous chamber music groups as for example “I Fiati di Parma”, with the flutist Claudia Giottoli, with cellist Luca Paccagnella, having a great preference for 20th century piano productions.
He performed all around Italy in many important associations like “Regia Accademia Filarmonica” in Bologna, “Amici della Musica” in Caltanissetta, Gela and San Severo, “Conservatory of S. Cecilia” in Rome, Lyceum club in Catania, Camerata Barese, Nuova Consonanza in Rome, Il Coretto, Musical Academy Pescara’s, A.M.A. Calabria, University of Cosenza, XXVIII Festival Nuovi Spazi Musicali, Taormina Classic, Ravello Concert society, Collegium pro musica of Genoa, foundation “ Woman in music”, musical arts center Caelium, Nation festival, association Felice Romani, Umbria Classic, in chamber music festival Allegro con brio of Piacenza theaters foundation.
He performed abroad in Wien, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany, around whole Argentina, in Conception city, Tucùman, Cordoba and in the famous concert-hall museum “Des las Artas” of Buenos Aires, at the XVIII Festival of contemporary music in La Habana, where he held several master classes.
He performed in Germany as solo and in duo with M° Claudio Brizi receiving public and critic recognition and he taught at Hochschule für Musik di Mannheim and played at the Heidelberger Kammermusikfestival with the cellist Luca Paccagnella,at the Akademia Muziczna Imienia Karola Lipinskiego – Wroclaw, at the Städtische Sing-und Musikschuleof Munich.
He played many contemporary scores first performance and he always gave special attention to women composer musical repertoire both italian and foreign.
He recorded for Stradivarius, Brilliant, Edipan, Vatican Radio, Accord for Music and Trco of Buenos Aires.
Nowadays he’s professor and teaches at Conservatorio “A. Boito” in Parma.
